S4 and Series III Firmware Upgrades

The WaterRower S4 Monitor and more recent of the WaterRower Series III Monitors (version 1.8 and above) are able to have their firmware (software which operates the monitor and creates its functionality) upgraded

In the interest of keeping our WaterRower users up to date it is WaterRower's policy to make these firmware upgrades available to users as they evolve

This service is supplied free of charge and requires the monitor to be returned to a WaterRower operating unit to be reprogrammed. It is enough to return just the circuit board (see monitor disassembly instructions for more detail)

Updates to the software include rectifying any bugs in the firmware as they are identified, including a new speed algorithm in the SIII** and various expanded functions on the new S4

The current firmware versions on offer are version 2.5 for the SIII and 1.49 for the S4

Your Firmware Version can be easily identified as follows;

• S4 Versions 1.48 and lower will display the Firmware version on start up

• S4 Versions 1.49 and higher, go to advanced function 9, press OK, Firmware version will be displayed

• Series III Versions 1.8 and higher will display the Firmware version on start up

**The SIII speed algorithm includes a power stroke time element and a decay feature relating to slide ratio
